4-Speed Swing Axle Center Section
Product Description:
1961 through 1968 swing axle 4-speed manual type 1 (rebuilt center section only). Rebuild includes new bearings, new syncros, machined gear carrier, steel forks, welded 3rd and 4th gear hubs, new gaskets and seals, new starter bushing, and new shift housing bushings. Each transmission is set up using the factory volkswagen gig and ring and pinion master gauge. We can also install axles with new axle bearings for an additional charge of $200. Please provide the year of your transmission when ordering and if your transmission is 12 volt or 6 volt. We can hog out an early case to 12 volt if needed for $25.00. Different gear ratio's available included freeway flier, to off road applications at an additional charge. Must return the same year of transmission and it must be rebuildable complete core for core credit. Please contact us for ordering or more information.
