The VW Bus (T-2) transaxle from 1961 to 1967 were still built on the bug 113 platform, using the same case and internals as a T-1 Bug. The biggest difference is that they came with gear reduction boxes at the end of the axle tubes. This allowed for more torque due to the underpowered motors with the larger bus bodies. There are some internal differences such as ring and pinion ratios and differential orientation. As with all GTA rebuilds these receive all new roller bearings, gaskets, seals, o-rings and bushings. We also rebuild the reduction boxes at this time. If you are lowering your bus we can go to a non-reduction set up as well. Please call for more info and pricing.
